POLICIES

Cancellation Policy:

Deposits are non refundable. Please communicate with me and let me know ASAP if you are needing to cancel. We can reschedule your appointment to a further date if needed to avoid forfieting your deposit.

Late Policy:

I have a 10 min late policy. Anything over that might need to be rescheduled. Communication is appreciated - email me if you're running late so I can plan ahead. Being late to your appointment can push my whole day back.

Reschedule Policy:

Please try to let me know at least 7 days prior to needing to reschedule. One reschedule is allowed before needing a new deposit to be placed.

However, I know that life can happen, so I appreciate communication and I am accommodating when it's fair. If you are sick please reschedule, I will understand completely and work with you on that!

Guest Policy:

I prefer that you don't bring a guest with you. The studio doesn't have a ton of sitting room and this can also be a distraction to me while tattooing. If this is a problem please let me know beforehand so I can accommodate if needed.

Deposit Policy:

All deposits are nonrefundable and appointments can only be rescheduled once with out needing to place a new deposit.

Other Studio Policies:

No one under 18 is allowed in the studio. No pets (besides service animals) are allowed in the studio. We take pride in providing a clean, safe, drug free, and comfortable space for our clients. Anyone that disrupts this may be asked to leave.

Touch Up policy:

I do one free touch up - within the first year of the tattoo healing. Any others may need to be booked separately at an hourly rate. Usually only one touchup is needed if any. If the tattoo clearly wasn't cared for properly (like if you go swimming and tanning the day after) then that is not considered a touch up.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTION

Appointment types, pricing, policies, design process, etc.

APPOINTMENT TYPES:

1. Project List

See Project List & Submissions page to see my project list. Is a list of ideas for tattoos that I have but I have yet to draw up.

These are usually general enough that you can give me some input but then also give me the creative freedom to create a design within my best ability that I am happy with also.

2. Custom Projects

If you don't see something on this project list that speaks to you

then please fill out a submission for a "custom project".. These are tattoos that are your unique idea but brought to life by me and my art style.

I love doing out of the box things so send over your idea even if it is something you haven't seen me tattoo before.

I still prefer a lot of creative freedom with these. But with your trust I know I can create a beautiful piece that we both love.

3. Continued Projects

I have been tattooing for 8 years now, so I have tattooed a lot of clients.. And you know how it goes when getting a tattoo, you instantly want to expand on it and fill up the rest of your body (especially with florals).

I have a lot of people that are wanting to continue adding onto their tattoos, but I don't have enough appointment slots each booking round to fit everyone in.. when starting a large project I always make sure to continue adding the sessions as we go to finish what we initially agreed upon but if you want to expand even more then you'll have to submit a request when my books are open.

If you are someone that fell through the cracks (like if you got pregnant) and you have something actually unfinished by me then please reach out! Let me know it is unfinished in your submission request.

4. Freehanded Florals

If you scroll through my instagram you can see some floral tattoos that I freehanded. For a freehanded tattoo I will not be using a stencil, instead I draw the design directly on your skin with a marker.. from my brain. So if you book one of these appointments please let me know what flowers you are wanting and where at. You will come in and we will discuss the placement and flow and I will take about an hour to draw it on your skin and make sure we are both happy with it before starting. Like any appointment type, this requires trusting the process and you'll get a one of a kind tattoo that flows perfectly with your body.

There are only a handful that I am comfortable freehanding so far.

Those are: Peonies, Roses, Blossoms, Lavender, some herbs, Lillies, Sunflowers, and any leaves.

BOOKING INFO

What is your booking process like?:

I open my books every 3 months. I only book 3 months out at a time.

I announce that my books are opening and then on that day I will release my project list and allow submissions to come through for a week before choosing what to book.

If chosen, you will receive an email (check your spam folders!) with a deposit link to choose your appointment date and time. From there you will receive some reminder emails up until the appointment date. I will personally reach out if I have design questions, but typically I have all the info I need from your submission form.

I announce any travel dates through Instagram

What if I don't get chosen this booking round?

I am not able to book every inquiry unfortunately due to demand. I don't have a waitlist, so if you don't make it in that round I would still love for you to resubmit the next booking round. Just because I didn't choose to book your project doesn't mean that I don't want to do it.

I accept emails for any questions, just know that sometimes it takes me a minute to get back to them if it is outside of my booking period.

Why do you prefer to have lots of creative freedom when designing a tattoo?

Having the ability to design a tattoo that I am also happy with, one that flows well, looks good compositionally, and fits my style of work is very important to me.

I am an artist and love to create beautiful pieces that also help me express my own evolving art style and technical ability while also giving you a unique and meaningful tattoo that you will love forever.

I prefer creative freedom, but I know that some people want to add specific things to their tattoos. These project list ideas are a great middle ground for you to have your ideas put into a meaningful tattoo while letting me get creative and be happy with it also.

Sometimes stacking a million things into a tattoo can make the composition look cluttered. so please be mindful of this.

so an example of this is: Instead of adding a bunch of names and birthdates to your floral tattoo to symbolize your kids, you can instead add some different sized bumble bees, one for each kid. It will look less cluttered and it is a very cute way to subtly add meaning to your tattoo. Your kid's will love pointing out their "bee".

I booked an appointment, now what?

You will get an initial follow up email after placing your deposit.

You will receive a couple more emails, one a week before, 3 days before, and a day before your appointment.

These emails are packed full of info including how to prepare, what to expect, payment and parking info + more.

From there I will reach out through email if I need to get ahold of you or if I have any questions for you.

But if I don't have anything to reach out about then I will see you on your appointment date.

My design process is thoroughly explained below.

But to sum it up: I design the tattoo the night or two before your appointment and I try to reach out by email a few days to a week before your appointment if I need any additional design info. It's normal if you don't hear anything from me though, so don't worry. Your submission form usually has all the info I need.

When you come in we will go over the design, make any changes if needed, I will then make a stencil and stencil it on you as many times as we need until its perfect.

Then I will spend the rest of the time tattooing you with a couple short breaks in between if needed.

Your follow up emails will go more in depth so please read each one of those.

What is your design process like? - in depth

(after booking a tattoo)

When you come in for your first session I will show you the design I came up with and let you know what we should be able to complete in that session.

I ask that you are as detailed as possible when submitting a request so that I can know everything you want and don't want incorporated into your design.

I might send you a follow up email close to your appointment date if I have any questions, and I ask that you also reach out if any of your design details changed after submitting your request.

When showing my clients the design that day, I still know that adjustments might need to be made but I am able to quickly adjust the design (unless it's a completely new concept). and we can make sure you are 100% happy with the design before we start.

I just ask that you trust the process and let me know that day if you want to change anything.

This works well because my style is very consistent and I won't throw something random into your tattoo unless you ask for it. So if you like my stuff that you see on instagram then I'm sure you'll love what I come up with.

I draw my designs on the ipad and use different layers for easy design adjustments so it's not a problem if you want to adjust something. Worst case scenario is I will need more time to redraw it and we might need to reschedule to allow for this. But I won't tattoo it on you if it's not what you want.

Every tattoo that I do is a unique piece of art that I have put a ton of work into. This means I spend a lot of my free time drawing and designing the tattoo. Showing the design ahead of time can disrupt my process and adds a ton of extra steps. I have also had issues with people stealing designs in the past and so I avoid this all together by showing you the day of. It's rare that I show my client a design and I have to redo the whole thing. I am confident that I will exceed your expectations with the design.

How to contact:

Email: artworkbykeely@tattoobooking.com or fill out my contact form here.

It might take me a little while to respond to non urgent messages if my books are closed.

Do you do cover ups?

Typically no, but if the tattoo you want covered is really light/faded then I may be able to. But I am not booking any cover ups/reworks this booking round.

Can I bring a tattoo design already drawn up by someone else?

No, I don't offer this. I prefer to design the tattoos that I do.

Do you do color tattoos?

Not this booking round.  Keep an eye on my IG for when I am ready to book color tattoos.

Do you do scar cover ups?

Yes! The scar must be at least a year healed and not super keloided. I usually prefer to tattoo florals on scars.

Do you do small tattoos (script, symbols, etc)?

Not currently, my smallest appointment available is a half day.

What placements do you tattoo?

Everything besides fingers, toes, and buttholes.

Full Day Session

6-7 hours

Price: $1800

These sessions are 7 hours long (around 6 hours tattoo time) and are for medium scale projects

(examples: outer part of the forearm, inner forearm, whole calf, etc.)

Deposit $200 - goes towards session price

Full Day Example:

Back to Back Sessions:

Price: $3600

These sessions are 6-7 hours long for 2 days in a row.

These will get first booking priority - I am only offering a couple of these a month

These are for Larger scale projects that need 2 or more full day sessions.** This is a great way to finish big projects faster, and I discounted the rate because I am excited to do more large scale tattoos.

For example: We can get a large part of the upper outer arm half sleeve done(so not including inner bicep).

The session includes the time it takes to show you the design, make minor adjustments if needed, stenciling, and tattoo time.

Deposit is $400 - goes towards final cost

Back to back session example:

Finish up session - Not able to be requested - I will let you know if you need one of these:

2.5 hours or less

Price: $400

Description: These sessions are up to 2.5 hours and are for adding things that can't be finished in a Free 1 Hour Touch up.

These sessions are for when we need to finish up parts of the tattoo that we did not have time for on a Full Day session (or larger scale project).

This is at a discounted hourly rate because it's usually a few flowers, leaves, and/or small filler things that don't take enough time for a half day session but will take longer than 1 hour.

$200 deposit - goes towards session price

I will let you know at the end of your project if we need one of these.

An extra non charged half hour is added all paid appointments. This is for short breaks if needed.. and because I am the shop owner there might be a couple mins where I have to step away and help another artist with something or fix a problem. I don't want these moments to take away from your tattoo time if they come up.

One hour Free Touch Up

Limited available each booking round.

These are Touch up appointments for tattoos that need only a few spots touched up. Has to be within a year of getting the tattoo.

This is only for tattoos that I have done.

Email with a pic of the healed tattoo to get more info about this

ESTIMATED TIME FRAMES FOR PROJECTS

**All of these are estimated time frames, this also depends on how much detail and negative space we have in the design.

Half Sleeves:

including the inner bicep: 3.5-4 Full days

not including inner bicep: 2.5-3 Full days

Full Sleeve:

^ that multiplied by 2

Thigh Piece:

Just top of the thigh - not wrapping around leg very much

2-2.5 full days

Calf Piece:

1-1.5 Full days

Hand:

Half day

Outer or Inner Forearm:

1-1.5 Full day

Hip Piece:

2-3 Full days

Full Back Piece:

A whole bunch - depends on the design - I can estimate after you inquire.

Spine Piece:

1-2 Full days minimum if just along the spine

PLEASE NOTE

It's possible that any of these projects may need a final finish up session.*

Any of these projects might take a little extra time. Everyone's skin is different and might require additional time.

I offer finish up sessions that are up to 2.5 hours of extra time for a discounted price of $400. Finish up sessions are for when I am needing extra time for whatever reason and don't finish what I thought I would.

I will let you know at the end of your last session if we need to book a finish up session. These have to be booked for another day. We can't just add more time to that session the same day (my body can't handle tattooing that long in one day).

For example if I quoted you a Full sleeve and it has already taken the full amount of time I initially estimated, and there are a few other flowers and leaves that we need to add/finish to make it complete and it will take me 2 hours then we will book a finish up session for $400 instead of another half day ($900)

This is basically for when I need a little bit more time, more than an hour but less than 2.5 hours. I discounted it because it's usually filler and not quite a half day amount of work.

Please email me with any questions.

If my books are closed it typically takes me a few days to respond unless it's marked as urgent.

Moving forward:

I am trying to get everyone to go through my booking form and book an appointment via a deposit link. This will help me stay organized moving forward.

If you want more sessions with me for starting a new project I might need you to wait until my books open again.

This is not because I don't want to tattoo you/your idea, but it's to help me not overwork myself and to stay organized.

Thank you all so much!
